What is Lexcel?

Lexcel is the Law Society’s international practice management standard. It is a framework designed for all types of practices to certify that certain standards have been met following an independent assessment. The Lexcel practice management standard is only awarded to law firms who meet the highest management and customer care standards.

How does it work?

The Lexcel assessment is a simple and transparent process which is:

→ Independently assessed
→ Available to any size or type of practice including small, medium and large firms
→ Flexible - only specifying standards, not procedures
→ Valid for three years with annual maintenance visits
